Heat from the air
In our greenhouses we grow relatively cool. With dehumidifiers we pull heat out of the air. This is pushed upwards, so we still bring heat into the greenhouse without using much energy. With double screens we keep heat in the greenhouse. We reuse the moisture that we extract from the air with the dehumidifiers. The same goes for all the water and manure and our packaging, pots and other growing materials. We also use solar panels, LED lighting, geothermal heat and CHP.
Organic crop protection
We protect our crops in a biological way, for example with larvae and insects. Not only do we say that, it is also proven four times a year. Then leaf samples are taken and checked in the laboratory whether we do what we promise. All resources show up in that analysis. Retailers can log in and see how we grow. Very transparent.
Not a kilometer too many
We are close to the auction, so our plants do not travel unnecessary kilometers by road. We also reduce the impact on nature because our employees all live nearby. But perhaps more importantly, our people work here safely, with a permanent contract and a lot of fun. They want to work for Ten Have. And continue to do so. That too is sustainable!
